Warning: A tease of a thread....

By Wytefang, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

Supportless decks.

Tacticless-Deck

Not an "anything-less" deck. I'm going to be doing my final playthrough this Saturday, will post after that.

Regardless of what my findings are, I'm sure this level of build-up will lead to plenty of snarky know-it-all posts from some elements in these forums but I'm more interested in what the friendlier, normal folk here think of it. Hope you find it useful and fun to play, once I post it. :)

PS. A lot of the suspense from my thread here has admittedly been promulgated by yours truly but only out of a sense of whimsy, nothing more. If you think this deck sucks once you see it or try it, fine by me, you certainly don't have to play it. You've been warned. :P

It's a 100 card Skaven/Chaos deck that draws 10 cards per turn and rains corruption on everything.

Let it be known that I have been hip to your game in this thread for a while (not the deck itself, just the silly build up), and I whole-heartedly approve. As long as the deck is fun, does something interesting, and/or provokes thought...OR is just plain goofy, we as a community should be all for it.

I'm pretty confident this is an Empire deck, I've noticed that Wytefang has a preference to them and Chaos decks.

It IS an Order deck and it does use some Empire, that much is true. Thanks for the kind words, Qwertyuiop and for the friendly guessing, Toberk.

I'm going to guess that its a 'HE splashed with Empire Mill' deck. gran_risa.gif

My guess : a non-RBT based indirect damage deck ;)

Cain

Sacrifice those dwarves with the great books of grudges to the grudge thrower in plain view of a squad of grudgebearers and bear witness to a 4ft tall hairy steamroller. (and launch some sellswords for fun)

You left out the rangers. Pew Pews from the quest zone.

My guess, a dwaf deck splashed with a few empire cards, and it is built to absorb a huge amount of damage. (Ironbreakers with like a bazillion developments down)

looking foward to seeing it.

I'm starting to think Wytefang and I have had the same idea running for a while. Mine started as an Empire deck when the cannon came out. I slowly began to realize the best way to put out developments quickly, was to be a dwarf. So I've moved over to mostly dwarves and pumping out around ten developments to the battlefield by turn three. That's just me though. Eventually Wytefang will tell us all....

I wonder if this decklist will arrive before the new cards do...

The new BP or the next cycle ? demonio.gif

(sorry Wytefang, I had to ask gui%C3%B1o.gif )

Lets show us your power of deck-tweaking great Wytefang ! Shine with light on our desperate hearths !

So how close are we to the list Fang?

Hehe he discovered alien pattern, and CIA took him. Hes gone along with hes mysterious DECK! To bad:( But hey maybe its better for us to not know this:>

I'm loathe to post it without doing one last strong batch of play-testing, so I can back up my thoughts on its potential for success with some valid data. If I've learned one thing from Clamatius (a player whom I've never met but one whom I greatly respect here), it's to test out your crap a LOT before posting it with wild claims.

Sadly, I got a bit excited on the wild claims part, already, because it was an exciting idea (for me - I will reiterate that the concept isn't new at all).

I promise to post soon, my apologies for the delay and I'm sorry for the tease (it was never intended to be this long of a wait but my life is hectic at times due to my son's issues).

We'll have the Silent Forge battle pack in 2 days so the deck would not be valid. You would have to update it with the new cards...

Nooo... then it will be finished even later ! :P

Wytefang

don't worry that much, if it's an interesting deck we will be happy, even if it won't have a 99% win ratio. ;)

Will this deck ever get posted?!

Please!

;)

I really think not.

Will post tomorrow night sometime (if not earlier). Testing will be complete then. If I don't test, there are several persnickety forum posters here who will eat me and this deck alive, for failing to get some good data. (Which is understandable, to some extent.)

I appreciate the interest, seriously. It's incredibly encouraging to me. Thank you.

Last I heard, most people on this forum have their own cards to build decks with and can gather their own data. gran_risa.gif

It looks pretty solid to me...although you will need some more cards...50 more I think...
