I didn't check my final standing at GenCon. Does anyone know if they're available somewhere?
GenCon final standings?
So Joust had 43 participants or thereabouts. A few days ago I poked around the CoC and W:I forums to see what numbers their tournaments had. I think I saw 16 for CoC and couldn't find a number for W:I. I know some players here play W:I, do any of you know how many people were in its tournament? The impression I have is that W:I outsells AGoT (with CoC coming in third), but I wonder if AGoT's longer, and prior CCG, history means it has more "competitive" players that are willing and able to show up at GenCon.
W:I had 40 players at GenCon. CoC did indeed have 16. I don't know if W:I outsells AGoT or vice-versa. I was under the impression that AGoT is the best selling LCG. Warhammer may be growing faster, but I really don't know. Either way, pretty much everyone I have spoken to says Thrones is the best game of the three, but I'm sure there are people out there that will disagree.
Certainly players sticking around or coming back from the CCG days has kept it alive. It's also certainly helped attendance at GenCon as we see many CCG players there. There is still room for growth, however, and I think we'll see more players at GenCon next year. Probably for all 3 LCG's (not counting LoTR).
i think warhammer hit 40 maybe 41, with at least 3 of those also being thrones players....
EDiT: Ignore this.
