How many people on the forums are from the UK? I'll explain why I ask.......

I'll be honest and say that I am not an experienced card gamer - I used to play MTG when I was at high school and didn't mind forking out the cash to get new cards because I had another dozen friends doing the same - there was always somebody to play against and there was a healthy competition between myself and my schoolmates. Eventually, as I got into the upper years of high school we got bored with playing and since then, about 6 years ago, I've barely looked at those cards.

Now I've just bought the core set of GoT, partly because of my love of the books, and partly because I miss those good old days when I could spend all day chatting with my mates about the cool card combos we had discovered. And I'm not kidding, but finding an actual physical shop that sells this card game was nigh on impossible for me, even when venturing into the centre of London! So now I've got the game (thank you internet!), but only one friend to play it with (and he wasn't even one of my schoolmates I played MTG with! He wants to play because he shares my love of the books). Suffice to say, we played our first game last night and enjoyed it immensely. But I can't help feeling that I will never fully experience the multiplayer aspect of the game - I don't know where to begin finding others to play with. There aren't any gaming societies that I know of near where I live, and given the scarcity of finding the chapter packs anywhere but on the internet, I get the impression that the UK GoT LCG community (or collectible/living card gaming community at that) isn't all that large. Can someone please tell me I am wrong?

Where about are you based?

There are about 14 of us that play. (8 that play regularly/competitively). We've been playing for about 6 months.

We had a mini tourney about 3 months back. It went rather well, I believe there is a plan for another in the near future so I'll keep you posted as it would be great to see and play others.

I Think the UK LCG community is a fairly decent size - I know of a couple of shops here in Nottingham that run regular events / gaming nights for th Warhammer LCG.

For GoT though, I think it's a different story. I've not found anyone else who plays - I've heard there's a shop that stocks things / a group that plays up in Sheffield, but don't know any details.

Whereabouts in the UK are you based?

There's quite a few UK players scouting for games in the 'Organized Play' forum. Why not check it out?

Just bought the core rules set and played my first game yesterday with 2 of my pals, they are based in the northamps/Milton keyes area and im in Nottingham. Have another mate in Sheffield who wants to play but getting all 4 of us together is hard work.

Hi Surfreakness - Nice to see that there's someone else playing in Nottingham. I've only been playing AGoT a few weeks, but I've not been able to find many other people around interested in playing.
