Extending the Wastes quest vs. 0 cost units

By Toberk, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

If I have a unit on Extending the Wastes quest, can I spend 0 resources off the quest to corrupt a 0 cost unit? Or, do I actually have to spend a resource to corrupt a unit making the resource cost 1?

Also, if the cost is 0 resources for corrupting a unit, can i corrupt a 0 cost unit as soon as I have one questing?

The way this game works with zero hit point units and dmg, I would say that this would work as well. Until you hear otherwise, I would play it that way.

I don't think you even need a unit on it to corrupt 0 cost units. It doesn't say you do - it just has an action that requires to to remove X resource counters. If X is 0, why not?

That's an interesting point. Can someone clarify?

You aren't going to find any more official clarification than what Clamatius said, short of someone being able to produce an email from James.

Take THAT Veteran Sellswords. Oh wow. What a neat, if not super specialized, way to make the sellswords work for you as sacrifice bait.. or corruption pumping(though corruption boosts would only work if your opponent played the sellswords)
