My question regarding Altar of Khaine is :

- Could I save a unit I would otherwise sacrifice thanks to a card effect ? (Lash the prisoners, slave den etc.)

- If yes, is the effect that needed the sacrifice still work ? (gaining resources, or put on a resource counter in the above effects)

No, destroy and sacrifice are different. The Altar only works on destroy effects.

You can never save a unit that you sacrifice. It's in the faq or rules I believe.
