Lol, "We won't start to sell Deathwatch until the CE is sold out, damnit." ;-)

With the CE delivery period being stated ad 6-8 weeks after the release of the normal core book this means we'll be caught in a temporal loop, oh noes!

Where is Picard when you need him dammit! That guy in his red & blavk velours piyama would have solved this conundrum before breakfast, dammit!

I fear I had to execute him for donning a heretical, non-standard Imperial Navy uniform, Brother.

I suspect some kind of Imperial conspiracy afoot - all to ensure this thread lives on until the copy arrives at the shops for sales.

FFG don't want a stampede at game stores and citizens getting squashed in the frenzy.

If it takes 10 days to to get to stores once it's off the boat, I can't see how Amazon can keep my delivery date (estimated) at Sept 8th!!!!

Brother Feldi has confirmed sightings of the book here in Germany. Accuracy of Imperial Shipping Data remains unknown, Brother.

My delivery date for Into the Storm still sits as the start of November, yet people already have the damned book.

Don't listen to Amazon. They're stupid. All of them.

Agreed. They got my copy of Rogue Trader to me several weeks before the first date in their estimated shipping window.

About a week later my local gaming store called me to tell me they now had Rogue Trader in stock (I had asked them to let me know when they knew it would be arriving), so I'm sticking to Amazon this time round.

Cant we sue them for the long wait for the book when they stated Aug 2010?

Indeed. Finally I was also told to pick up my Rulebook end of next week. Really looking forward to it. Also, I already picked up Into the Storm there on Monday because it was allowed to sell sooner. Nice book by the way.

Still it looks like that we really got a problem with Amazon here. I talked to my buddy there and he could not give me a clear answer. Ok, this is not exactly his job to do there. He meant that it could be that Amazon receives the books not over the official distribution but rather over the normal way books go. So this would be a reason why some stores already got the books and the others not.

To be honest, I not longer believe in the shipping date shown on Amazon. This was the reason why I canceled my order there. After all, I can pick it up next week.

I been waiting for 23 years, another week or 2 won't kill me

If the Amazon trader house is not living up to its Imperial obligations by mid next week, may I contact you again for possibly tapping into your supply line? Or if your supply line can be contacted over the warp, I'd be grateful for being passed instructions so I can do myself, Brother. My faith in House Amazon right now is anything but unlimited. happy.gif

Alex

Gah! Amazon said that Into the Storm has been delayed until September 28th.

That's bull!

It's out! I know people who have it .

Honestly, what is wrong with Amazon?

BYE

Amazon just informed me that Deathwatch is now delayed until October 12th to the 18th. I've never seen a company work so hard to not take my money.

No problem Brother, just contact me if you need guidance back to the path of the emperor! Be informed, Iám heading out with my Battle Barge to a mission for some days, so it´s possible that I can´t answer your call before next friday. If everything goes well, I should also be able to tell if everything worked out with the Rulebook.

True, I also picked my book up here in germany on monday. Just take a look at my last post, seems like my buddy over at Amazon was right. Stores who use the official distribution way already have the books, others who use the standard way will have to wait longer.

Still it is a bit scary that I was right on top of it. At least a part of it...

Amazon seems to keep changing its dates. However they are also giving me around 20 dollars off the list price, which is really something I can't complain with. But I would like to see some more solutions from them. Nobody seems to know when this is coming out! I suppose the Deathwatch always preferred secrecy....

This is a goofy release, maybe typical of FFG for all I know. Borders is showing the book as a September 7th release, Barnes and Noble at September 28th...same with Amazon, my pre-order is listed as late September/early October. B&N and Amazon are both retailing for 20 dollars off the normal price, Borders is not.

I called the local game shop, nice guy but he didn't even really know what this game was...told me to check back next week. (sigh)

Interesting (and that's good sort of interesting for a change): Leisure Games has changed the expected date from October to 14th September.

Fingers crossed they are right and it does not move again!

DW

Maelstrom lists Into the Storm as available now, but Deathwatch as mid-October.

It seems no one knows when this damned book is coming out.

There is a guy on the Dakka forums saying that he already has his copy and he lives in germany.

Those pesky Germans!

You sure? I guess he only said that he already has "Into the Storm". That would be not surprising, I also picked up my copy this week.

I'm in the uk, and i'm an Amazon Prime user, and Amazon uk says my expected delivery date for Deathwatch is 13th September, but Rogue Trader: Into the Storm says Expected Delivery 13th to 14th October. If what Number 1 (or whatever it is) says is accurate about Eclectic games in Reading getting into the storm next week, i'll get my mate who lives in reading to get me a copy of it from there and cancel my amazon order.

Hi all!

I sent e-mail to FFG and asked when DW is coming out. They replied that US releasedate is expected to be somewhere around September 16th-17th.

They didn't say when would it arrive to Europe or Finland to be specific. As this is my first post to this forum, I hope that I don't supply faulty information to you.

See'ya!

I know it's as solid a proof as the next source, but Orc's Nest has the Deathwatch release date at 13th September, and Leisure Games (where I've pre-ordered Deathwatch) has Into the Storm available now (just ordered it 5 minutes ago gran_risa.gif ).

So I'm currently putting my money on DW being available as of this week coming for US and week after for UK, or perhaps both for week after.

Can't say I'm desperate to get hold of it anymore. Me and one of my two players had a big falling out a few weeks ago and, even though we've kinda made up, we haven't RP'd since so chances are the book may not even get any practical use once it's been read sad.gif Thus is life.
