When will the boat turn into a truck?

By peterstepon, in Deathwatch

FYI because it was asked earlier- yes some copies of the GM's Kit were on sale at Gen Con.

Edit: Also as an FYI, I just checked out the ebay auction and I feel obligated to let anyone looking at it know that its description of the GM Kit contents is incorrect. It does not contain 6 adventure scenarios. It contains 1 adventure and a section of GM tools. I'll leave it to FFG or someone with the product to elaborate if they so choose.

Amazon still says November for Into the Storm, which doesn't make any sense.

Anyway, Pre-Ordered from Amazon. At least if there is a delay, the delay will impact US retailers less than UK/European retailers.

Just a little but also disappointing information for you guys...

I just came back from a trip to my local shop who supplies us here in germany with the RPG stuff we need. Surprise! The shop already received his load of books and I was allowed to look inside one of them.

Unfortunately they are not allowed to sell them already! So I could only take a little look at the books and was told to come back early September - official begin of selling. Not that what I wanted but at least it is a little bit of hope.

Greetz.

I think the FFG product page has been updated with ISBN number and Case Quantity too. As I have said, I am sticking to what Amazon says, Sept 7th, until I receive different information.

And the knowledge it will be here at my office desk on the 7th a noon makes me all warm inside. You have to like Amazon sometimes! I still don't understand why they send pockets of fart with the book. As if I wanted someone else fart.

Ah yes. All European stock is going to America instead (hurray for us Americans, but sucks for Europeans), and the second shipment is delayed in till October. If you REALLy want to get it, I suggest ordering it off of Amazon (us) or similar stores OR wait in till it's on Ebay (which I assume the day it hit shelves it'll be all over Ebay).

I thought that was just an empty rumor?

It was; however, it does still take longer for shipments from the US to reach UK and European distributors than for them to reach US distributors, given the distances involved.

Then I'd rather trust Feldi's eyes, who's already seen a book in Europe. If they'd wrap 'm up again to ship to the US, only to come back again later, I'm painting half of my face blue, wear nothing but a kilt, and go on a rampage with my claymore...

Nah, FFG won't be so crazy to risk you (and others, LOL) coming after them like that. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Don´t ask me how they handle the shipping around the world but Iám really happy to know that our local store already received some books. Also, on one of them is my name! Just have to wait for the pickup day...

Well, I don´t know how old my info is but I thought Amazon (at least here in germany) also received the books last week. Guess I will just send my buddy there a mail and ask him about the stock. If I have news, I will report it to you guys!

This has already been stated as not being the case by Steve Horvath, VP of Marketing and Communication. You can read his post hereabouts.

I tried to post the email last night that I got from them. have a look on the javascript:void(0);/*1282650333842*/ theed.

Just talked to my FLGS and the guy there says he should have it around sept. 8th.

I talked to our local guy today and he is telling me the same thing, the 9th of September. His confidence seemed a little low of that being accurate though.

Anyone noticed that RT: Into the Storm is now declared "Shipping Now" while DW still is "on the boat"?

Good, I know that DW already is in the hands of some stores and they´re waiting for the GO to sell them but I expected that DW would get the first Update on the Main Page.

Well that's somewhat good news. Hopefully the 'shipping now' will remind Amazon that it's coming out before October, so they can change their store status.

BYE

Strange, my confirmation from Amazon has it shipping on September 07...but then one never knows until you get the tracking number.

AJC

Sorry, I was talking about Into the Storm, not Deathwatch. Deathwatch they have early September.

What kind of boat is it ???

I thought DW was available at Games Day Indianapolis. These ones were in a faster boat ?

(excuse my engllish, what I'm trying to say is : To much teasing kills the teasing)

Why cant they put it on a ups* plane and its done.

That makes more sense, though my comment re the tracking number still stands. I find pre-ordering from Amazon is always a little "unknown"... gui%C3%B1o.gif

Per the comments from FFG, they brought in ~300 copies specifically for GenCon (likely by air freight); probably brought in an additional lot for GD Baltimore with the same shipment. These are independent the full shipments coming by boat.
