They were shipped to GenCon, and sold out there. The rest are slow boating it to the warehouse. They may even be in the actual warehaouse at this time, but just going through final stages before announcement, shipping, etc.
When will the boat turn into a truck?
There is another opportunity to get your hands on a copy before it is released. According to the latest news release, FFG staff will be at Games Day in Baltimore this Saturday with copies of Deathwatch available for purchase.
But unfortunately I will not be able to attend.
But if any of you ladies or gents are attending and planning on purchasing a copy, let me know I'm sure we could work out a deal
if you bought two.
Why cant it be a fast ship?
I dont know why its not in the distributers hands so its out at the same time around the world.
We should find some way to get those books off that ship faster...
Quickly, release the fying monkeys, STAT! Fly my minions! Fly! ![]()
Or we could perform a mass ritual to conjur up a well buxomed delivery lady, glistening with sweat from running, at each of our respective doorsteps, holding a fresh copy of Deathwatch. All together now: *Gniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!*

Well, my reaction to that would be a "I f*cking hope for your sake you didn't sweat on my book", complete with the psychotic glare and the froth. I'm actually quite obsessive when books are involved, buxomed delivery lady or not.
Maybe they didn't paint the boat red.

Can we get proof of this?
But then again. $5 parking. $25 to get in. $60 for the book. So $90. Nevermind, Ill get it at books a million with $0 parking, $0 entry fee and 10% discount. So $54.
I just noticed that the GMs Screen now says it is expected by "Fall '10"
Didn't it used to say "Summer '10" just like the core rule book?

I don't mind waiting on the screen if I can see the boat finally turn into a truck
I noticed things had been quite with the FFG staff here lately, I wonder if it was because they were preping for Games Day this weekend? I wonder if they were waiting on their pre-release event at games day before actually updating the status from boat to truck? Could be have been a preset milestone that was set that had to happen before a release date is announced.
So here is me hoping that after the weekend and their recovery from the event that say around Wednesday of next week we see some movement on the Upcoming page.
I was informed by Wayland 28th October for the core book.
In the words of General O'Neill "Im so Urked."
I feel for you guys. This is pretty much exactly the kind of anticipation anguish I went through a year ago for Rogue Trader.

That is quite mild compared to what I am thinking right now
Leisure Games still has it listed for Aug release but I am beginning to think that might not be that accurate now...

Fall starts on September 23, so all I guess I can do is hope that they stick to their "expected: summer '10" and that it doesn't slip into fall.
Darn it, I am so eager to get my grubby hands on a copy of this game.

Or, if you have the money, ebay. Btw, did they sell that GM Screen at Gencon too? Why haven't I heard any further information about that supplement in here yet? Can somebody tell me sth about the contents of the Kit?
Alex
I'm fairly certain I caught a glimpse of it on the videos they have from gencon. On the Friday video, go to 0:29, and look at the bottom left. I would say the screen at least "exists," its just either its being officially released later, or its just in the system wrong.

It must exist or the fellow who sells it on ebay is a fraud. But he's got pics too.

I just came back from Games Day, I can confirm Fantasy Flight had a booth set up where they were selling Deathwatch, Into the Storm, and the Space Hulk Card Game.
Unfortounately, they sold out of Deathwatch in an hour shince they had 100 copies in a convention center full of 40k fans, and I got one of the copies of Into the Storm before they went.
I was told they were in their warehouses being shipped to the stores right now, but I don't know how long it will take.
If the shipping estimate is accurate, I guess we can expect the release of August to be made.
No GM screen was at Games Day by the way if anyone was expecting that product.

Oh I hope this is true, cause I'm really hoping their idea of "Summer 2010 Release" wasn't "Available for purchase in limited quantities at a couple conventions, everyone else gets to wait a month or two."

Hmm, if DW was in FFG's warehouse already, wouldn't they be selling it on their own website? I think the FFG person exaggerated a bit on that one. Unless he meant that DW is in the Chinese printer's warehouse and is being shipped right now, in which case we're back to the slow boat from China.

Lol sorry missread - Carry on - nothing to see here
FFG doesn't usually offer their stuff for sale in the webstore until the book has made it to stores. This is what I've noticed about their WH40KRP releases so far, I could be wrong.
I wonder if FFG will stagger the release of Deathwatch and Into the Storm to avoid competing with themselves. If these two products and the new WHFRP supplement were all on the same boat they may be slowly dealing them out over the next few weeks. So hopefully, when The Edge of Night arrives in stores, we'll get an update on Deathwatch (or possibly Into the Storm) and then the remaining title after that. It's what I'd do.
Or maybe we won't see DW for months yet.
