I've read, and read, and reread, and still, for some reason, dieing is a complete mystery to me, I understand that you have to be critically damaged, but then how do you die from there? thanks for the help.

If you looked at the Critical Damage tables, you'd see that depending on where you get hit, by what, and how badly, when you die is different for each.

You die when the next crit you take gives you a number on the crit chart that kills you. On most of the crit charts I think it's around 7 crits that body parts start exploding and gouts of gore and viscera start slicking the area.

Most people on the forums use some variation of enemy mooks that die with one hit or when they reach 0 wounds, with the boss enemies acting like the players and actually taking crits.

You essntially die when the result on the critical damage table says you die.
