Just have a thought... why would the rule sadi that both players have to be on opposite side or cannot mix two sides to form a deck?...it would be owesome use dark elf to kick those annoying chaos or mix dark and high elf and form the elf alliance.

There's nothing stopping consenting adults doing whatever they want in the privacy of their own homes. 
Obviously, except Orcs and High Elves in the same deck. There are bestiality laws in pretty much every state.
