Unskilled w/flamers

By Lucrosium Malice, in Dark Heresy Rules Questions

Okay, unlike my other question which I was confusing with Rogue Trader rules, I know I read somewhere talking about targets getting an increase to their Agility to avoid catching on fire based on the size of the flamer and skill of the user. But for the life of me I cannot find it anywhere.

Can anyone point me to the rule?

Also would this (if the rule is real) apply to Executioners(?), the one shot flamer that can be attached to a basic weapon.

Dark Heresy errata v.3.0; page 8 of the print friendly version. Since there is no attack roll involved with a flamer the creatures in its area of effect gain a +20 to dodge; +30 if it is an unbraced heavy flamer.

Yes, it would apply equally to an Exterminator cartridge. After all it says in the description "the shooter may use the Exterminator Cartridge, working out the effect as if he was armed with a flamer." That would include the rules for the flame quality.

Ah thank you Praetus. I knew Executioner wasn't right. Problems of being at work and not having the book near me. Getting to old, all I remember is an "E" word.

I will pull my errata back out as well and highlight that so as not to loose that rule again. I think I am going to have to start taping those rules on the relevant pages because it all runs together anymore.

Thanks again!

PS - D'oh! Now I know why your name sounds familiar. Thats the high gothic name I just rolled for my noble. cool.gif
