Can Ranged Attack Units Capture Leaders By Scoring Hits?

By player377182, in Battles of Westeros

My foe had an arhcer unit three squares away and attacked my lone general scoring 2 hits - good for capture. We played it that way- but the logic seemed off.

Also - I remember reading some limitation archers had that infantry didn't but I can't find where it was in the RB.

Anyone?

Yeah, they can capture. Their limitations are that they can't engage the enemy (since they're ranged only), they don't score bonus hits, and they roll -1 attack dice if they move and attack in the same turn.

Yes, Ranged Attack Units can capture scoring hits = or > than the Capture Rating of the target enemy Commander.

Capture = Kill.

Not sure why the've gone with "Capture."

At the moment the Commander cannot be saved, or brought back from dead :-P ... so it's the same as being Killed. Or, is there something I've missed 8-o

Because in the books, prominent figures typically get captured and ransomed instead of killed.
