Illyrio's Gift

Edit: English spoiler

It's out in Spain. (Google translate here).

I like the look of this chapter pack a lot. It looks like there are some powerful cards, but not even evaluating it from that perspective, I like that the variety of themes that are supported in this set and the way they have skewed the pack towards one theme (so that a Dothraki deck might be possible soon rather than after all six chapter packs come out).

The Raven attachment control is nice -- one of the few cards that cares about the Learned crest, plus it's searchable with A Time for Ravens.

Bastard of Bolton -- pretty good with MwnK : )

The Greyjoy event seems like it could lead to some cool plays -- you can use it to play the effects of your opponents locations as well (if I am interpreting it correctly) which should be a nice surprise.

Edric Dayne -- always nice to get more Nobles.

I like the witch that does not allow saves during military challenges -- I don't know if it's competitive but when I first started playing I found the self-savers really annoying to play against.

Then there's the whole Beric, Neutral Faction, Brotherhood element. I think I need to see more of what you can do with no power on your house before deciding if I like the theme.

Yay. A House Dayne Lord, now I can defend against Stannis. But worry about Red Wedding...

If you wanna see the cards download this .

Rename it to .zip and extract it. The images are inside the "cards" folder.

They're all in spanish.
Some of it can be worked out mind.

Well I think we can say goodbye to Greyjoy. Little draw and cards like the witch and brienne of tarth just say no to save.

Can anyone translate to something more readable? I get the gist with google translate but dang it is hard to read :D

Looks like a solid batch of cards. I'm intrigued to see where this cycle goes.

great cards and greats arts... quality of them is increasing cycle by cycle... i love greyjoy event art ;-)

Don't translate - I love this card:

Fog of War
Only House Lannister.
Domination: Each player chooses a character to control. The Characters chosen not to their feet during the Commissioning Phase Pie of this round.

It makes me hungry. Commissioning Phase Pie sounds delicious...

looooooool :-) Up for google tranlator :-)

We need to order some of that at Gen Con, methinks.

If you wish to see the new cards without struggling with the Google translator then go here

I see some new deck concepts on the horizon gran_risa.gif

Cool, I added that link to the OP. I kind of wanted "Ill Tidings" to actually be titled "Bad News" though.

And of course we ALL wanted Commissioning Phase Pie. . .

So, is there an explaination as to why we see the black hatchling on the cover of the box, and yet it isn't in the chapter pack?

I think FFG is going for the Most Epic Teaser Award...

sequentially releasing the hatchlings then leaving it out of sequence, box art, this must be one amazing hatchling to get months and months of teaser! ;)

Cover are in most of the cases not representing the real content of the chapter... actually the next cp cover is for beric that is contained in the first CP.

100% agreed. The artwork on the box and the cards inside seem to rarely match. I'd register it as basically my only complaint against FFG right now. Which, all things considered, means they are doing a great job. Still, I wish they would match cover art to a card inside. Although I personally check this website for spoilers before I buy any pack, I bet there are customers everywhere tearing this pack open and wondering if the Black Hatchling was somehow mistakenly removed from the box..
