What is "Touched by the Fates 5" for the Farseer in LOTE?

By player359820, in Rogue Trader Rules Questions

I can't find the description for TOUCHED BY THE FATES 5, a trait listed for the Eldar Farseer in LOTE. I have all of the DH and RT books and source info, and I can't find it. I am probably overlooking it. I am assuming it is just Fate Points.

The book mentions it earlier in the section about the various ROgue Traders, it basically means that they are NPC's who generate their own fate points, 5 in the case of the farseer.

It also lets them benefit from Righteous Fury!

Everyone uses Righteous Fury unless you're using a house rule.

No, only PC can use it, by the rules.gui%C3%B1o.gif

Got a page reference for that?

Page 245 never mentions it's PC only.

Thanks alot for the quick reply. It does indeed say it is for NPC's only in the box at the top of page 125.

In what book does pg 125 contain anything about Righteous Fury? In RT, that page is about grenades, missiles, and their launchers.

There's a whole pile of confusion going on here... and I think I see the problem

In Rogue Trader, there is nothing to say that only PCs get to Righteous Fury while NPCs don't... but in Dark Heresy, there is (being a legacy from a much older version of the Dark Heresy rules)... which is odd, because Righteous Fury is vastly more lethal in Rogue Trader than it is in Dark Heresy, and allowing NPCs to use it freely is a far bigger deal than houseruling that NPCs in Dark Heresy can all Righteous Fury... anyway, Touched by the Fates first appeared in Disciples of the Dark Gods, granting NPCs Fate Points (normally possessed only by player characters) and the ability to Righteous Fury.

It seems that the text for that talent has just been copied across to Lure of the Expanse, including a reference about allowing NPCs to Righteous Fury, in spite of the fact that, strictly speaking, NPCs in Rogue Trader already can Righteous Fury.

Make sense?

Yes, all clear now.
