How valuable is the Avalos Imperial Governor?

By acowell, in Deathwatch

My actual point tbh was that it was not the Kill Teams mission, perogative or responsiblity to Punish/Kill/Question the Governor. They are to locate the inquisitor, and follow instructions from there.

Kill Teams who blow away the governor (yes he probably deserves it) should be cautioned (certainly if they actually escape the planet) for over stepping the Mark and mission parameters.

If of course they believe the Governor has been infected, then it's fair game as he is now considered Xenos.

Well, my Kill Team completely bypassed the governor's mansion that was okay, though we only had 8 hours for the module, so we had to cut a few things out. sorpresa.gif

Anyway, my whole defense for the governor and his feasting was going to be along the lines of that these people were the leaders of this planet, without them it would be unable to contribute what the Emperor has demanded, and he knew better than the Space Marines how to keep them together and functioning.

Of course, come Oblivion's Edge, we may see a furious Governor demanding to know why the Space Marines didn't rescue him, and how Xenos assaulted his mansion and slaughtered most of Avalos's ruling class!

Or the Kill Team never finds the Governor because 8 genestealers finished the job rather easily against a fop like the Governor. gui%C3%B1o.gif

While terraforming may count for something... is it really needed to account for a million habitable worlds in the whole galaxy when "habitable" is partly used to describe Death Worlds and little outposts?

Humans are hardy things, but as with most species we have environmental preference and tolerance. It's a bit less diverse than some might imagine. Especially the Squats and the Ogryns. gui%C3%B1o.gif
