Character Creation

By skippen, in WFRP Rules Questions

I really like this game, but, at times, the rulebook confounds me. Information is in there, but it is often in multiple places. Or, I just can't find it stated clearly. Correct me if I am wrong. On initial character creation, you can only train one skill, correct? Also, to train a skill is it just one creation point do so?

Thanks ahead...

You can train a number of skills depending on how many points you put into that priority. So if you put 3 points in that's 4 skills +2 trained.

I am not sure what you mean here. I am sure it just how its communicated, but for some reason its not clicking.

Typo. He meant 4 skills +2 Specializations.

If you do not invest creation points in skills, then you can only train one skill. If you invest one point, you can train two skills. If you invest two points, you can train three skills and get one specialiazation. If you invest three points during character creation, you can train four skills and get two specializations.

Thanks. Do you happen to know what page that is on? I apparently keep missing it.

Look for Table 3-2: Creation Point Investments on page 30 of the main rulebook.
