So I played a game last night in which Amanda was one of the investigators and the first mythos card was, of all things, one of the new double gates. By the luck of the draw the devouring gate and the split R'yleh/Abyss were drawn which, surprise! devours Amanda due to her personal story.

Hahaha, nasty. Earlier I had a game against Quachil where one investigator was about to come out and Elder Sign the sixth seal. We had two doom spaces left, so I figured we were safe. Well, the "doom" gate opened on someone, adding two doom tokens and ending the game. We didn't really have a chance against Quachil but he decided to slap us in the face anyway by attacking first almost EVERY round. We knocked off one doom token and change before the whole party was dust :-/
