Temporary Insanity without markers

By valvorik, in WFRP Rules Questions

If a temporary insanity is aquired but no more stress etc. incurred in encounter, it gets no "markers/counters" on it.

So the Willpower check to recover, which must generate successes => number of tokens on insanity, will succeed automatically - right?

I still make them roll - if they get a net failure then the insanity is not removed, anything else removes the insanity.

Thanks, I'm inclined to let no-token insanities vanish automatically.

The way I see it, insanities are nastier than critical wounds (harder to get rid of) so intentionally less commonly enduring and continuing to effect PC's.

This could be very much a "tone of campaign" matter though, I see grim/perilous as meaning lots of aches and pains more often than paranoia etc., some may see it differently.

Don't forget, that according to Errata/FAQ a token the insanity card is placed with a token already on it when you get it from being strained .

Thanks - very good point to keep in mind.
