Any requests?

Hmmm...I'll fix that...

We're playing against Rhan-Tegoth, we had incredibly bad luck on drawing cards and filled the Doom Track in less than 6 Turns, almost everyone had a Bound Ally, and there are 6 players, and the first guy RT tried to drink blood off of totally fubared the roll. And no one listens to me when I explain how to use the Blood/Soul pacts against him because thats 'power gaming' and 'wrong'.

Okay hows the revised ability:

while were at it I have the story for Ed 'The Strangler' Lewis

Toots and the boys needed someone to help promote the new style of wrestling they wanted to sell the rubes. Arkham was the next stop, and you got picked to be the guy to put on an exhibition here with a title fight. You aren't so sure you like the new guy. A man named Varny "The Ghoul". Something about him gives you the creeps, and you get the feeling he's a ringer been sent by someone to embarrass you.

If that's so he'd better have some tricks up is sleeve. You've survived plenty of challenges from meaner guys, just non that have made your skin crawl like this one does. He stinks to high heaven, and the guys say he runs around in graveyards at night. It makes for a nice angle to promote the fight, but once it's over you'd like to be rid of him.

You don't care much for Arkham either. Really this isn't a town you think your business could make serious money in. And the people here...well some of them creep you out almost as much as Varny does...

Story so Far:

The world had turned to a hellish nightmare of loneliness after Mother had died. It took much of his WIll just to go on, but after some time he found it got easier.

You didn't like the odd jobs so much though. The people were unkind. Not like Mother. You wish most of them would just go away and die. Some of them you made go away. Not too often though. Some of the local suspected you ever since your brother died. You're away from them for the moment, on a train bound for Arkham. Your being paid a decent amount of money to deliver some packages, and pick a few more up in return. You can't wait to them off as they give you the creeps.

They aren't the only thing. The people on this train hide monsters among them. No one else pays attention as they smile and nod to you, accepting you as one of their own. How dare they. They don't know you at all. Once you get rid of these damned boxes it might be worth making a few of them disappear before leaving Arkham for the long trip home...

Story so far:

The Masters are sending you to Arkham. There is an item somewhere in the local vicinity they have heard rumor of and wish to possess. You've no idea how they know, but then they have always been inscrutable to you in some ways. They have given you a few things to aid you in the journey, and trust you will be able to find your way to the appointment they have made for you with the owner of the Curiositie Shoppe.

It's believed he has come into possession of the item, or if not he is the most likely person in town to have some idea of where it is. All that you have been told so far is that it is 'special', and possibly not of this world.

You honestly hope it's not going to destroy you. Many of the Masters artifacts are incredibly dangerous to the Mi-Go let alone mortal beings such as yourself. secard82674327058020014.jpg

Our Story So Far:

You don't have long. The Look is obvious on you, and the changes are advanced enough you no longer truly feel comfortable on the land. Those who have gone before you have called you in your dreams at night. A rival of your Lord is awakening, and a group of filthy mammals are trying in vain to stop it. You have been ordered to aid them as your last act before leaving the world of men.

You do not like this. Travel does not suit you, especially over land. You are not well known or well liked outside of Innsmouth, and you have no real power outside the town. When you learn it is possible that the Ancient One's influence is spreading to Innsmouth as well, you take heart. This may be easier as you can aid the others indirectly. It also explains recent signs you've noticed but haven't quite understood.

Notes: Obviously if you play Marsh as a character, return the monster of the same name to the cup. If not using the Innsmouth board, he starts in the Train Station.

Enoch Bowen's Story so Far:

The Church of the Starry Wisdom has been dealt the cruelest of blows. The Shining Trapezohedron is gone, along with the cults library, and it's connection to Nyarlathotep himself. It almost seems like some sort of dream now, but you were so close to success.

You have not been idle. They may have cheated you once, but they will not do so again. Everyone believes you dead, and the rituals have kept you alive to see a new dawn. You are attempting to infiltrate the Silver Twilight Lodge in order to gain access to their library. If you are to reform the Church under your leadership, you need the old books and their knowledge. It has diminished greatly without you.

There are those who stand in your way. The Lodge does not so easily give away it's secrets. And there are servants of beings other than Nyarlathotep in the vicinity. You hope to gain the trust of the Lodge, and a group of local adventurers you can use as pawns.

Our Stoy so Far: Being the Derby's maid had paid off better than you had thought. The blackmail check you received regularly since then came in mighty handy, and you were set to live a life of luxury or so you believed. The local elders question the wisdom of what you and your co-conspirators have done, and claim that you do not know as much as you thought you did. Some of them have openly said you should forget the check and leave well enough alone.

And then the letters arrived from your cousin Meredith in Arkham. Someone has been poking about asking about the Derby's and their servants. More specifically they'd like to know why the former servants are getting large sums of money. This will not do. You are not going back to being a maid.

But you are willing to get your hands dirty, and you've witnessed enough murders in your time that theoretically you know how to commit one well enough.

Joes Story so Far:

(Note this alternate universe assumes Joe escapes the police instead of shooting himself):

It's all gone now. You won't be killing women in the saloon anymore, and the gators aren't there to clean up the evidence. You've had to flee across the country to where no one knows you to start up again.

And Arkham seems like just the city. Most of the people are creeps, so you figure no one will notice you here if you off a few women. Unexplained occurrences and deaths happen here frequently. There's even a swamp and some woods outside of town to dispose of bodies, even though you don't like to think about some of the things you see in that swamp...

But it's time you got yours. It's time you made your new home feel just a little bit more terrified. You miss the newspaper reports of the disappearances you cause more than anything, but that's plum easy to fix.

Story so far:

Something is killing your brothers. You aren't certain what yet. You've seen monsters even you don't recognize. You still look human enough to pas in dim light, so you've been tasked to go above and find some help.

Turns out it's a pretty thankless job. People consider you as bad as the formless nightmares waiting for hem out there in the dark. You do finally meet a group that seems to be pursuing the same goals as you, but some of them seem like madness is marking it's claim on them. You'll have to hurry, because you don't know if you can rely on them not to fall apart for much longer.

They claim an Ancient Being is awakening, and the monsters claiming both human and ghoul are if not it's servants at least driven into a frenzy by the dreams it's generating. You've got one shot at stopping it.

I can't appear to upload the rest of the images so they'll be coming as soon as I can figure out whats wrong

Lets see if this works now:

The Ghoul Uprising Card will be in the Heralds thread.

Sir Philip revised secard72486889867937052.jpg

Story so Far: You are the last of the Jermyns. You'd heard many things aboard the ship in Africa. Rumors. Stories of forgotten cities. Stories about your father. You needed to see if they were true, so you deserted ship.

It was all true, some of it even worse than you had imagined. You went mad for a time. There are some as say you've never returned from madness. Maybe that's so. But now that you know some of the truths of the world maybe your unnatural strength can help defend others against the waiting dark.

It's all you can do really. Otherwise the madness will claim you again, and you'll be just another monster in human form waiting to rend it's prey. There are a great many monsters in Arkham, and the telegram asking you to come here by Carl Sanford was most mysterious. It hints that you know of something he wants, and he's willing to pay well for it. You have no idea how he ever found you as you were legally declared dead long ago after years of disappearing.

Oh for **** sake, the quote screwed up again. > :(

Well, third time lucky.

Any ideas for an "artifact"?

(Powerful mythos unique item, but also cursed in some way)

I started a separate thread, here: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=113&efcid=1&efidt=382265

Crap, i screwed up the quote, and no "edit" on this forum.

Mods: please previous two posts.

I replied in your Artifact thread

Our Story so Far:

A new cult has risen in Arkham, and it is gaining enough power in the Eastern United States that it has begin to 'push' at your own to see what it can get away with.

You do not brook rivals. The Master will not look kindly upon you when he awakens if you do not cleanse pretenders to the throne from the face of the Earth. had they the sense to worship the Master, and accept you as their leader...

But it is best not to dwell on wishes. Life is not so easy, and you have not lived so long to cede power to the latest fools stupid enough to challenge you. Worse yet they have bungled many rituals and drawn the attention of the ignorant masses, who destroy what they do not understand. It's time you visit Arkham.

Story so far:

Leaving the day to day concerns of the gun business behind you to be done by your son, you are enjoying traveling in your retirement. The train stops in a quaint little town called Arkham, and the name jogs your memory. The owner of the General Store here is a loyal customer of many years, but recently he's been ordering an awful lot more than normal.

You have several hours before the train departs, so you decide it might be a good time to question him. You can always pass the news on to your boy.

Upon entering the shop, you see the owner arguing with a strange cloaked figure, who appears to be threatening him. The cloaked man turns to stare at you, and his eyes are not the eyes of a human being. You want to say something, but he is gone before you can speak. The fear in the shopkeepers eyes tells you why his orders may be larger than normal. He looks so terrified you decide then to help him.

secard36962374971336575.jpg

Your research on oceanic cryptids has brought you to a strange little town called Arkham. There seemed to be many leads pointing to the town as sort of a weirdness magnet, and that there were cults of a disreputable sort there who not only knew of the existence of previously unknown species of animal, but actually worshiped them as Gods.

While the idea seemed laughable you aren't so sure now. Rarely has a town seemed so openly hostile to you, and everyone claims the cults are long since gone, even though it's pathetically obvious they're lying. Perhaps the odd quasi religion has members that are politically or socially powerful within the city, you aren't sure.

But you have seen odd things by the docks while chatting with sailors. You're fairly certain several of the fish they bring in as catch aren't known to science, and haven't been classified. But they claim it's a common local fish and everyone knows about it. Is this possible in modern America? And why do they seem so nervous?

Story so Far:

You've been sent to this piece (beep) town in the middle of the (beep) wilderness to film some (beep) commercial. You've already filmed a (beep) commercial for Winnebago, why the hell are they sending you to this (beep).

The food sucks, the roads are worse, the town has some of the most backwards (beep) you've ever seen...it's like God is (beep) in your oatmeal. You cannot possibly imagine what you have done that would compel anyone to send you to what is quite possibly the armpit of the universe. To top it off you're lost because this map you were given isn't worth the paper they printed it on.

Obviously none of that matters when you see the (beep) tree walk across the road. Seriously. A (beep) tree. Not only does this place feel like Hell, it apparently happens to be one. Just (beep) great. You haul (beep) in the 'bago, and nearly run over some (beep) in robes standing in the middle of the road.

Hey Bhu. I like your ideas! Its inspired me to do my own expansion. :D So I've started and I've tried to do some DIY things and am in need of some serious help. I've posted a few times on the forums and have yet to get any real help... Have you delved into this at all that you might be able to help me a bit?

I'm still a bit of a noob at making stuff for the game but I'm always willing to help. I'll be in job training all next week so I'll be off and on then (I've been mostly absent lately due to job hunting).

For those curious about the lack of Serum in the West post, I'm still trying to decide what to have it do exactly since his abilities revolve around it.
