Yes and Yes. It's a maneuver to sheathe, free to drop.

I allow my players to change weapon as one manover. Its not the rules but I prefere it like that.

.. i played arround with it a bit to get a flavour of the probability in green and red stances:

green seems to be more powerful (more crits and confirmed hits) i suppose the thing that will balance out the agressive stance is the extra bonus's that red action cards grant you? Until I get a little more combat under my belt and spend some time analysing and appraisng the cards its somthing that i wont know the answer to. Has anyone bothered to list and breakdown all the action cards into a spreadsheet that would make it easier to compare their advantages? (probably too big an ask).
