To date we've been using a variant found over on BGG; that variant being 1 burning zone less than the number of players to win.
So with 3 you need 2, and with 4 you need 3.
What has everyone else been doing to play multiplayer, if at all?

Thank you for using my variant. Even if I hadn't suggest it, I would tell everyone and anyone that THAT is the only really decent way to handle MP in this game. It just solves so many more problems.
Where can these multiplayer rules be found? I'm interested in trying them.
I believe these are the rules referenced above.
Lets say we are playing a 2 0n 2 game (order vs. destruction). You always alternate turns(good, bad, good, bad or vice versa). To win you have to burn 4 of the 6 zones of your opponets. You are not out of the game until above victroy is achievied or all 3 of your zones are burning. At the end of the capitol phase, after you play a deployment card you can give your ally a card from your hand as long as it is of thier faction(like Empire and dwaves are on same side, i the dwarf player could give my Empire ally an empire card from my hand if i wish)! Just trust me it works very well, go ahead and try it and then let me know what you think:)
If you are not playing teams, we randomly seat order and then attack left and defend right. I usually play with my two brothers and this works pretty well. It eliminates the possibility of ganging up on people and hard feelings.
I do like the idea of passing cards to teammates. We have not tried this yet.

Yea would not do teammates if had an odd number of players, like like 3 or 5. I would like to do what you do though and have a complete slugfest..sounds like fun. So you only can attack the person on your right?
