Cav following up

By Carnage4u, in Battles of Westeros

I know Cav can move 2 squares to follow-up and gain 1 additional attack

I know the cav must use the first follow-up to move into the square the opponent retreated from.

Can the Cav move back to their original space to attack? It I can see both sides of it, but it seems silly to advance 1 and move back 1 and still get to attack from the same space, but I think that is how it works.

It is how it works in the ancient warfare game that uses the same mechanics system, so thats how I would play it for BoW. Look at it as the cavalry pile in, run their foes into the ground as they start to flee, then sweep back to their original location and use the impetus to drive on in another direction. Possibly a bit more Mongol Horde rather than Crusading Knights in mobility but hey, its good cinematics.

The intent is that you may not retrace your steps if you want the attack.
