You begin the game with two spells.

Whenever you encounter a space that instructs you to draw cards, you may draw that number of cards from the top of the appropriate Discard pile instead. You cannot use this ability if there are not enough cards in the Discard pile. Enemies encountered from the Discard pile get +2 to their Strength and/or Craft until the end of the turn.

At the beginning of your turn, you may choose to Research magic. Draw three spells, ignoring your spell maximum. Skip the rest of your turn. You must discard any uncast spells you Researched at the end of your next turn. You may not Research two turns in a row.

I see this guy as a kind of reverse Prophetess, with a neat spell-drawing ability. I considered allowing him to draw spells from the discard pile as well, but that was too complicated to make un-broken. Hope you guys enjoy the concept!
