Different Quest Cards per Race?

By Redeemer31, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

Hello,

I just recently picked up the core set and expansion for Warhammer Invasion and I have a couple of questions that I was wondering if someone could answer for me.

I noticed that for the High Elves and Dark Elves, they have two different Quest cards, "Sack/Defend Tor Aendris" and Night Raids/Wake the Dragons". Are all races suppose to have two different Quest cards? I ask because I have two of each of the following Quest cards: "Journey to the Gate", "A Glorious Death", "Defend the Border" and "Smash 'em All!".

Also, for those Quest cards, it says to place 1 resource token on it at the beginning of your turn if a unit is questing there. The respective abilities usually require at least 3 resource tokens on it. Is there a point to having more than 3 resource tokens on the card? Do I really need to keep piling on more resource tokens on there when I reach my minimum of 3?

Thanks!

For non-spending Quests or ones with no cumulative effect (Infiltrate! would be an example of a cumulative effect, not that I use that particular Quest), I stop at 3, there is no point in having more. Quests like Sack/Defend, where you can spend the resources on them, those you kinda need to collect all you get.

If you have got the core game and expansion Assault on Ulthuan, then you should have only one quest for Empire, Dwarf, Chaos and Greenskins, but 2 copies of them. And you will have 2 quests for both High Elf and Dark Elf, but only one copy of each. In the first battle pack cycle, Corruption Cycle, there was a further 1 quest for all 6 races, giving one copy for each race. Which means you could have 2 different quests for each of the original 4 races and 3 different quests for the two Elven races. Hope that has cleared it up for you!

I can't comment on the new cycle, The Enemy Cycle, as I have been unable to find any of the battle packs available in the UK yet. But they may contain new quests for each race too, and these will have 3 of each copy.

Ah, thanks.

Wasn't sure if I accidentally got a duplicate or if that was intentional.

I think Jim at Patriot mentioned the new BP should be hitting the UK today . . . good times :D

Thanx, that is brilliant news, will check the usual websites to see if any are stocking it yet then. Any idea why this cycle has been so delayed in UK? As others have usually been released about 1 week - 10 days after US, and WFRP is still being released 7-10 days after US.

Yay, one of the websites have it on pre-order, which should mean they'll have it over the weekend. Happy days!gran_risa.gif
