What Bonuses Stack and What Do Not?

By AngelOfMercy777, in Rogue Trader Rules Questions

So I have been running Rogue Tarder and since allof my players and I are new to the system we are a little confused about when you are making rolls what does and doesn't stack. For instance, if the archmilitant charges an enemy and recieves the rogue trader's inspiration bonus, does he recieve a +20percentto hit or only the higher of the two? Or in ship combat do actions such as being told to 'Put Your Back Into It!' stack with the rogue trader inspiration bonus for the gunner, etc.

And clarification would be greatly appreciated.

All bonuses and penalties stack with other bonuses up to a maximum of +60/-60.

Thus an arch-militant charging with his rogue traders inspiration would get +20. If he added a best quality melee weapon he'd get +30.

I've found as a GM that giving away little bonuses might be a good idea for awesome roleplaying.

e.g. I charge him (this gets the standard +10)

e.g. I scram a cry for the emperor to forgive him his sins and break into a charge, as i approach him i'll leap high and to the left to avoid his guard and swing my sancitified blade down for a killing blow (be generous, give them an extra +5 for a cool description for a total of +15)

Everything but armor at least. For armor you only take the highest value.

Everything stacks unless it has a rule stating that it doesn't.
