New heroes speculated to be same as those in Mists of Zanaga.
(major factor being that there was no descent card provided along with those runebound characters)
Speculated expansion theme: Jungle (same as zanaga, since heroes are speculated to be from there)
Focus of new traps and systems (possibly new God systems, and traps probably focusing more on poison?)
Where did you get the God system from and what is that?

He's probably thinking because Mists of Zanaga has this new end game involving killing primal gods, maybe a Descent expansion that echoes the jungle theme would also introduce something like that. Personally I'd expect the Primal Gods bit to translate into Avatars if they ever get so far as making an Advanced Campaign from Zanaga. Given how SoB was received, though, I think is questionable whether or not more AC expansions will be coming. And if they are, Al-Kalim is probably next up anyway.
I'm not sure how many more Descent expansions I really want, honestly. I can probably be convinced to buy a couple more vanilla expansions, but I don't think I want any more Advanced Campaigns, personally. (So I say now, but when Sands of Whatever is announced I'll probably be all "ooo, Camel tokens!")
I would much rather just see expansion packs for the AC. Like new Avatars, dungeons, plots, etc etc that can be used with the two existing ones.

That's a cool idea. More dungeon cards would be welcome, although how to package cards and reference maps together without anything else might be a bit tricky. A single card expansion with Avatars matching all the expansion minis from WoD AoD and ToI would be nifty too. Either as three separate packs or one big one, I think it'd work out well enough.
I think it's time for Descent to move on. I mean, after the trips across Terrinoth's lands and the travels on the seas of Torue Albes, it would be nice to explore the "Realm of the Clouds" (or something like that...), with eagle-riders, dragon-riders and tons of other strange flying creatures (like the giant dog-shaped flying character in the '80 movie "The Neverending Story"..), fortress in the sky, high mountains with secrets on their top to discover, and so on: an entire new dimension of the game, that could brings the heroes from the deepest dungeon under the ground to the highest stronghold over the clouds...
It's not a crazy idea, men: who ever thought of ship battles in the Descent world before summer of 2009?

The main problem of a jungle theme is: The perfect monsters for this theme are already in Altar of Despair: the blood apes.

...along with some charatcters of the "Desert theme"!
So true: The blood apes don't fit very well into the AoD-theme.
Nevertheless, there are more components of AoD that would perfectly fit into a jungle theme: All those curses, corrupted glyphs and dark relics and of course the voodoo doll. If you mix them up with all those Indiana-Jones-traps from WoD, you can easily create some jungle-themed maps.
Well....but would you bet your 5 cents that FFG will really announce any Descent expansion at GenCon 2010?
I guess yes....

what about another kinds of existing troops? Skeletons with mace, sabre, spears, slings, daggers (maybe throwing too) ... not only bows with NEW STATS CARD according by used weapon type. OL card which actually say Spawn 2 skeleton and 1 master skeleton give OL varietal choose what kind of skeletons is better to be placed right "in game"...
Of course not only skeletons but all possible creatures which are in game etc. ... I think that isn`t hard to integrate this new factor to game. Also can be used if someone don`t have one of expansions.
Finally we got new nice (plastic) minis. Remy`s dungeon cards are good choice, FFG can add cards to all decks.
Poisoned arrows limited per pk 1, 3, 5 (rare to buy, or as treasure) as example of new weapon types for shooters?

Meh. I don't think the game needs that particular type of flexibility. Maybe skeletons are just a bad example, though. I really don't think I would ever choose skeletons with melee weapons if I still had bowmen around, and I don't frequently run out of any type of monster as it is.
Well, with the new Dungeon Quest game coming in which every new character in that game can be used across all the other Terrinoth games; I doubt a new expansion will be seen. I think Dungeon Quest is going to be their big deal and they threw in the ability to play the characters in other games to make up for it.
I have only played vanilla Descent and I have yet to play any of the expansions but seeing how many there are, I have to think at some point enough is enough. I mean, I want to play the expansions, but I'm going to live for so long! Plus, as I said before, Dungeon Quest is the new baby so more than likely any new content is going to be focused on it. But hey, who knows. Whatever it is I am sure it will be good.
I'm all for expanding the current maps/systems a bit more. More treasure (especially Copper in campaigns are getting a bit old), more heroes, more Avatars. The ideas about poison arrows is not a bad thing. I would like to see some combination of items as well. How about armor that doubles as others? Staffs that you can use either as a melee weapon or a magic one?
If there is any good idea and thought to an expansion it might work but so far SoB has not been doing it for us. The main problem is really that it takes up too much space! Our table is not really small but fitting all you need on it without having to re-arrange everything constantly is hard.
It was stated by the designer of the game that there will be no "small box" expansions for this game at this time. Something about cost and whatnot.
Thinking about the next expansion, you have to wonder what they will include in it. I do not mean monsters, or treachery cards, but things for the heroes. Sure, we will get new items and perhaps a new potion, but what about skills? I find it unlikely they will release new skills, especially since SoB came with some of its own. They would need to find a way through a errata to include them in both of the advanced campaigns....we all know everyone will be bothering FFG customer support for answers.
I honestly think they would include a new set of feat cards, they seemed to go over well with the community and are balanced in the campaigns.
As far as AC content, they will obviously include monster stat cards for any new monsters...and perhaps a few new dungeon and rumor cards, but what about the outdoor encounter cards? ToI had stuff for RtL, which cannot be used in SoB at all. I believe that they would include some water encounters just for SoB, and perhaps a few for RtL.
Just some thoughts I had....all is speculation, hard to say what will come from the next expansion, assuming they will produce one.
