What does the word target stands for?
First of all I thought it means opponent's units, but than I read the effect of Daemonsword. Now I'm confused. Should I cancel the word target on the cards?

Target is any unit that it specifies in the text of that card. For instance the daemon sword says "target (chaos) unit" that means you can only place it on a chaos unit that you target. The word target is in the game to help simplify a few things that also refer to targets. The easiest example is the Church of Sigmar. It says "opponents cannot target your units with card effects unless they pay an additional 1 resource per effect." Any card your opponent uses that says "target unit" Flames of Tzeentch for example would cost +1, but a card that does not target anyone, like troll vomit, does not have to pay extra.
Hope this helps a bit.
Periculum, thanks a lot for your plain reply. Your examples help a lot.
