I Just bought Battlestar Galactica (original one, not the pegasus extension).

I'm reading rules, but i'm not understand the sympatizer card.

Imaging i'm a Cylon not revealed, all ressources are in blue.

I received the sympatizer card. What append then ?

1. I'm becoming a light Revealed Cylon and can never activate the Cylon fleet nor play super crisis card.
2. I'm revealed as a normal Cylon and can give the sympatizer card to someone.
3. something else...

You're basically a "Cylon lite", as you describe.

In the base game, if you are not a revealed Cylon, get the Sympathizer card and no resource is in the red, you become a "Cylon Lite", you go to the Resurrection Ship with no Super Crisis card, and you can't activate the Cylon Fleet. You can take the action at the Resurrection Ship to hand off your unused loyalty cards, even though you don't have a Super Crisis (note that this still doesn't give you a Super Crisis - the location text is "Discard a super crisis to draw a new one".)

If you are already revealed as a Cylon and get the sympathizer card you immediately hand it to somebody else, who then resolves it.
