More of your usual brilliance, Tiziano. That eye is painful to even look at; one can only imagine the pain that poor guy suffers having to bear it. No wonder he's so mean.

But why is his skin so soft?

mischraum.de, to be absolutely realistic his skin would have needed to be more weathered, true, but that's guaranteed to make people look older.

I count it as artistic licence to try and convey how young he really is (just like the still patchy beard). OK I could have given him acne but... I'm trying not to paint people uglier than strictly necessary ;-)

Love the focus on the eye and the heated blade. I never really thought about painting the clansmen in Kings Landing. Definitely a different take from past paintings of clansmen and very intriguing. Another beautiful painting.

Isn't Timmet only around 18 or so? I always took him to be late teens at best.

Excellent art again. With every new release you make it harder and harder to decide which print I want to get. Are you bringing any with to Gen Con?

Indeed, Timett has been a beast to paint due to his age. He is, if I recall, barely 20 , but he is a war leader, feared even by his own tribe (and possibly a little unbalanced, as I see him), No teen or 20 yo who I know has that kind of presence, went with a slightly older model, the mountain tribes lead an hard life, and so are bound to age early...

To tell the truth, when the sketch went to GRRM for approuval I was more than a little nervous.

Yes, I'll be bringing a few prints with me, both AGOT and CoC, if you discover your favorite before the 28th let me know (but I think I'll bring a few copies of each print I've available, anyway).

Yes, one character, GRRM liked the scene per se but the character wasn't quite there (card still under NDA, so I can't say more).
