Concept: Shub/Cthulhu Character dominance
The strategy with this is to get the ancient ones out at a discount, so you potenially will have one by turn 4 or 5. This is made possible by the various "cost-cutting" characters Shub and Chtulhu have acces to. Furthermore there is two cards to enhance your "summoners" so they can join the fray.
Now this is not a finished deck, I feel there are too many filler cards, that arent helping with the decks strat and there needs to be some more ways to search my deck for characters.
DECK LIST
"Summoners":
3x Gibbering Soul - Getting the right characters to your hand
3x Seeker of Mysteries - cutting costs for the big guys
3x Priest of Bubastis - cutting costs on the big shub characters
3x Ghoulish Worshipper - Cutting cost on all the Ancient ones
3x Lord of the Silver Twilight - Making Cthulhu cheaper
3x Beings of Ib - Making Bokrug cheaper and kicking ass when the first ancient one comes out
"Big Guys"
3x Shub-Niggurath - Here mostly because of Invulnerbility
3x Nyogtha - Some synergy with Ghoulish worshipper
3x Ghatanothoa
3x Bokrug - Synergy with Beings of Ib
3x Cthulhu
"Support and Event Cards"
3x Unspeaksble Transformation - for beefing up the "summoners"
3x Sword of Y`th-tallo - ditto
"Filler" these are the cards I have the most doubts about belonging in the deck
2x In an Unmarked Grave - While this deck can bring out enough unique characters to make this card worth playing, the prohibitive need for Cthulhu icons can make it hard to get out
3x Primal fear - Here mostly to deal with willpower, but that may not be needed as these guys should be able to deal with willpower chracters in the combat struggle
3x Hungry Dark young - Here to support Shubs ability and bring back "Summoners"
3x Rampaging Dark Young - Ditto
I am thinking of removing Shub-Niggurath from the deck which will free up 9 slots in the deck. Instead I would like some more deck searching, but I dont really know what to go for. Suggestions on the deck are very welcome
P.S I have a playset of most every card so that is not much of an issue
