I'm new to the game and it looks like the game is intended for one-on-one matches. But what rules have been developed to allow for multiplayer games? Does the game even work in this format?
multiplayer free-for-all rules?
I've seen, and heard of a three player game where the story cards formed a triangle in center of board. There was a thread about this recently, apparently there are rules in the support section of the old CoC CCG. ....but I think the last person who tried to pick those rules up didn't make it, a giant bolder started rolling, poison dart traps,...it really got ugly.
I think you can find it here: javascript:void(0);/*1278957105629*/
Thank you both!
Generally I actually do find one-on-one card games to be more pleasing, but whenever I pick up a new game I'm always eager to learn how to play it with more than two players.

Hello everyone !
I was the guy who submitted 2 differents multiplayer rules from the french forum of the game (see below!).
I know there was an old rule for CCG later on but wasn't able to find it, so we proposed an alternate format for LCG.
We've played the multi-player "1 against 2" format for the french national as a side event and it was really great!
Follow this link ( http://sd-1.archive-host.com/membres/up/193142307446594319/Regle_multi_1_contre_2.doc ) and you'll will have our proposition, ready to try. The text is in english, but my english might be quite poor to you.
We're actually tweaking The 2 gainst 2 rules in a way to be more fun and coopérative ...
If you go to the main CoC page and Support then scroll down to the Rules section there's a pdf for multi-player rules.

So easy. Almost takes the fun out of it, in a way.
