By Jack61, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I have scoured the rulebooks but can't find answers for some of these points. Help is greatly appreciated!

1. Gold placed on a character? Does this gold get taxed during the Taxation phase or does it carry over to the next turn? Does this gold count for Dominance?

2. Can characters that are already in the kneeling position perform their abilites as long as any costs are paid? Cards such as Ser Davos Seaworth whose ability has a gold payment cost? Some games like L5R don't allow this.

3. Can ablities on cards in play be used more than once per phase or per round as long as any costs are paid? Again, such as Ser Davos Seaworth? Can he keep being targeted for death, and if the owner of the card has enough gold, can the owner keep saving him over and over?

4. Can a Character attack, say with a Military challange and then Stand from Vigilant and then attack again with a Power Challange in the same Challenge phase if he has both icons?

5. Limited? If a limited card, such as a specific location, is played, does Limited mean that you can no longer play ANY locations that phase or does it mean that you can no longer play that specific location again that phase, but it's okay to play other locations? The rule book seems a little fuzzy on this point.

Thanks to the folks who answered my first set of questions. Our AGoT community is building fast here and with that the questions are coming fast too.

1. Gold is emptied out of your gold pool during the Taxation phase. Gold placed anywhere should be considered a token and cannot be taxed, moved, discarded, stolen, or spent unless there is another effect that grants that ability.

2.As long as the character ability does not require the card to be standing, or make kneeling part of its cost, then yes, you can continue to use, or trigger a characters ability even if it is knelt.

3. This game uses a "one effect per trigger" rule, meaning a card can use its effect only once per triggering requirement. If the triggering requirements are met multiple times you can continue to trigger the effect as often as you can meet the cost, assuming the card does not have some other limiter to it.

4. A character can attack or defend as frequently as its controller wishes assuming it meets all challenge participation requirements, having not participated in any previous challenges is not a requirement, so yes, as long as it is standing, as appropriate icons, and has not had some other card/rule effect that prevents it from participating, a character may continue to participate in challenges until there are no more challenges left in the round to declare.

5. The Limited keyword means that only one card with this keyword can be played in in a round by a player. IF you have a location with the keyword, you may play it from your hand, and may continue to play from hand as many locations during your marshalling phase as you can afford... however there are card effects that allow a location to be put into play, bypassing costs, this also bypasses the Limited restriction.

Thank you very much for the very detailed and clear explanations!

I forgot to add one question to my list and, again, I will appreciate any help:

When a character's text, or other card's effect, says that a character is immune to another character's ABILITIES, does this include immunity to the Keywords such as: Stealth or Deadly? Or does it mean that the character is ONLY immune to the abilities printed below the keywords and/or traits?

Traits and keywords are not considered to be abilities.
