I lumped this question in with a previous question.

Robb was wonderfully quick in answering the first part of my previous post, but seems to have missed the second part. No biggie, I'll ask it again here

If my opponent has a solo commander wandering the battlefield, and I attack with an archer unit from outside of adjacent space, and score the needed wounds to capture the commander, is the commander captured? or does a unit have to be adjacent to the commander to capture it?
