Old legends tell us about an ancient town that lies in a forgotten dale deep within the Mountains of Despair. The inhabitants of this place shall have built a dragon throne that offers enormous powers to the one who controls it. Only the one who dares to step through the mysterious portals will be able to enter the forgotten dale and to master its powers.

„Dale of Portals“ is a custom map made for four players. The center of the map contains a dale that offers enormous advantages for the player who controls it. However, this dale is completly surrounded by mountains. But there is a way to get access to this hidden valley: magic portals.

Magic portals are essential on this map. They can be used to get into the ancient dale – or to warp your army right into your opponents realm.

Setup instructions:

All magic portals and the dragon throne are revealed right from the start of the game. If you use (other) exploration tokens, no additional dragon throne will be placed on the map.

Place magic portals upon the areas 4B, 3C, 6D and 5C.

Place the dragon throne upon the area 4A. Place one additional dragon on the area containing the dragon throne (4A).

Place the city that offers three tactic cards upon the area 4B (Note that this is no area that has a city-symbol printed on it.

Special Rules:

The magic portals and the dragon throne cannot be destroyed in this scenario. They are NOT treated as destructible locations.

It is not allowed to build a stronghold on the area containing the dragon throne (area 4A).

The city in the dale may not be destroyed (area 4B).

I uploaded the map (with all pictures) today at boardgamegeek, but it hasn't been published there yet. As soon as the map will be available at BGG, I will add the link.

Nevertheless, the pictures in the german forum have a higher resolution, so I recommend to download them there.

Cool map. I'd definitely be interested in seeing more pre-made maps, especially with special "scenario rules." Adds a new layer of spice to the game! =)
