moving Thirst For Power

By Stormtower2, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Thirst for Power is an attachment (condition) and the text reads:

Attached character gets +1 STR
Any phase: move Thirst for Power to a different character (limit once per phase).

Marine Legion is a location (warship) and the text reads:

If Marine Legions leaves play for any reason, it is instead discarded from play.
Challenges: kneel 2 influence to change Marine Legion into a character with 3 STR and a military and power icon until the end of the phase.

The situation:

I have Thirst for Power (2 copies, actually) on a character (Asha Greyjoy). I kneel her to do a military challenge.

After the challenge, I kneel 2 influence, and activate the Marine Legion, turning it into a character.

I move the Thirst for Power from Asha onto the Marine Legion.

Questions:

1. Is that move legal? Marine legion is a character at that moment.

2. When the phase ends (ie, Dominance phase begins), the Marine Legion is no longer a character. Does Thirst for Power stay?

3. If Thirst for Power stays, can it be moved during that Dominance phase onto another character (say, back to Asha)

1. Yes.

2. No, attachments are discarded as soon as their attachment conditions are no longer met (if there is no condition like "attach to a location," then the condition is that the attachment must be attached to a character which the Legion ceases to be at that point).

Thanks for the response!

I thought there might be a rule like that; I must have missed it in the rulebook.

But it makes good sense.

Your welcome. By the way, I just noticed that I left an important "no" out of my answer to number 2 (I edited it in now). Hopefully, the answer was clear enough any way.

I understood it; I paid a bit more attention to the first part of your sentence, and less attention to the parenthetical remark.
