Cell

If there are any followers in the Cell, I take one from there. But do I have to leave there one of mine too?

No, not if you take a Follower from the Cell.

Ell.

Thank you, Elliot.

Text says: "You must leave one of your Followers in the cell. If there is a follower already here, you may take that Follower with you."

In my opinion according to the rules if it is not draw card space you must encounter the cards and if there is a follower you may take it with you (according to the second sentence). Then you must encounter the space and leave one of your followers (according to the first sentence). To sum up we play that you must always leave one Follower in the cell no matter if it is empty or not. There is not mention that: "you do not leave your Follower if there is one already here and you may take this one with you." Of course that is only my point of viev and I am not sure if we play it right. Maybe updated FAQ will clear it...

I'm surprised at the official interpretation - I've always played it as 'leave a follower (if you have one); then, if there were other followers already here, take one of them'. So, sometimes you lose a follower, sometimes you gain a follower, and other times you effectively exchange one you have for someone else's abandoned follower.

I worked for Games Workshop when 2nd Edition Dungeon was released and this is how I was led to believe it should be played.
