Today I played my first two games of BSG and I must say the game rocks!

We had some trouble during the second game though. In the setup section of the rulebook there are three characters listed as for who get's the president or admiral card. It was a three player game and we had a situation that no one received the president card, since none of us took one of the three listed characters.

Does this mean we have no president at the start of the game. If so, what happens to the president chooses crisis cards?
Or is the president card dealt to the first person in line? In our case, this meant that we had one character being the president and admiral at the same time. Isn't this a bit overpowered?

In the event that no political character is chosen, you should look near the back of the rules for the line of succession for the president title. The first that is not a political leader is Lee "Apollo" Adama.

Also, please note that the short list in the beginning of the rulebook is wrong.

The order of succession for the title of President is Roslin -> Baltar -> Zarek

And yes, a single person can be president and admiral. And yes, if he's a cylon, you're fracked.
