Places online for Warhammer lore?

By Steerpike2, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hey guys...I was hoping people who are really into the Warhammer lore could help me here. I am looking for places online where a lot of the lore is contained. I have quite a few WFRPG 2d edition books, and a number of novels, and I'm not at all averse to buying more books, but I was wondering if there is any place online that has consolidated the lore into one place where you can easily access it.

Most of what I've seen on the internet is for the Warhammer Online MMO, and that's not the lore I want :)

Thanks!

what kind of stuff are you interested in?

Just background information on the Warhammer universe. Maybe a place that has a timeline from pre-Empire to the present. Something that consolidates a lot of background information into one place. I know some of it from the novels, though I don't remember everything I read and it is a pain to look it up in novels. Also, the 2d edition books has some. But there seems like there would be a lot more out there somewhere.

There's Kalevala Hammer to start with.

http://www.freewebs.com/kalevalahammer/

Has lots of collated materials on it from various sources, time lines etc

http://www.madalfred.com/

Mad Alfred's site has lots of older info on it and unreleased info from planned 1st books (the Guy wrote and published some of the later 1st ed books, and i think wrote the adventure in the GMs screen for 2nd ed)

http://homepage.mac.com/whymme/WFRP/index.html

Whymme's site has a few bits and pieces from it but its primarily 2nd ed (he used to be on the 2nd ed boards a lot, but don't think he plays 3rd ed) his site has also got links to liber fanatica, some great 2nd ed fan material easily converted to 3rd ed

http://www.windsofchaos.com/

winds of chaos is another 2nd ed site, but has recently had some stuff added from encroachment of chaos site (which was great and had loads of useful stuff like calendars etc)

those sites will mostly have links to others too, so once you hit on one, you should find plenty of others

If its really tineline stuff though, the first site is superb, the guy has collated many timelines from loads of different materials... highly reccomended

oh...nice. Thanks doc cthulhu. I was not aware of that site!

Thanks, pumpkin. Those look like great resources. I am bookmarking the pages. I appreciate you taking the time to putting that together for me.

I haven't played WFRPG3 yet, so the fact that a lot of those have 2nd edition resources is great for me!
