A question on the color of corruptions

By Tox, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Hello folks, I apologize because I'm pretty sure I've seen the answer to my question *somewhere* but I can't for the love of me remember where.

How is the drawing of corruption cards arranged? Do I mix red and green and then draw from this deck or do I draw each color based on the situation? I'm sure the rule is under my eyes but it is evading me :P

p.s. Just remembered another question regarding corruptions: when I check to see if a corruption should be discarded because of the closing/sealing of a gate, do I consider only the corruptions I have drawn so far or also the ones still in the deck?

Thanks!

The green cards are shuffled together, and the red cards are shuffled together. You then place the green cards on top of the red cards and use that as your draw pile. So you will not draw any of the red until all the green are gone.

As for removing the cards, when a gate closes, you remove from the game any corruptions that share the gates symbol that are being held by investigators only. I say remove from the game instead of discard, because most discards go to the bottom of their respective piles. Once a corruption is discarded, it is never used again that game. When you need to draw a corruption and there are none left to pick from, then the Ancient One awakens.

On a side note, with the new double-gate tokens being released, it looks like you will remove corruption cards that share either symbol of the double gate.
