1) Can you bring a card out of the shadows at the beginning of the Epic Phase?

2) If there are multiple Epic Battles , are they fought sequentially within a single Epic Phase?

A) Yes you can. You can bring a card out of shadows at the beginning of any phase, as long as you can pay the gold.

B) According to the FAQ when you play multiple epic battle cards they create multiple epic phases in the order that you play the events. So the first epic battle event is going to create the first epic phase. The second epic battle event is going to create the second epic phase, etc.

2) This allows you to bring multiple cards out of the shadow then?

Correct. Or the same card out of shadows. Think about epic phase with Syrio. If you throw down three epic battles that have military challenges, then you can bring syrio out of shadows, win the military, then pop him back into shadows. Then at the beginning of the next epic phase do the same. A very nice combo for a stark siege of winterfell deck.
