1) Can a hero play protect thyself feat card: it says after the overlord declares a monster's attack against the hero, in response to a dark charm attack (do heroes count as "monsters" when under dark charm)?

2) The feat cards that cancel an overlord card, if its used to cancel a summon card, can the overlord play another one, since its technically limited to one summon per turn?

So we played many games with feat cards from ToI quest book, did anyone actually play test the maps with feat cards? Scenarios 3 and 5 seem almost impossible to lose with 4 heroes. Seems like the feat cards are way too powerful with 4 heroes..

3) Is there a way to balance maps from previous expansions if you want to use feat cards, are there official rules somewhere to do so?

A hero is not a monster.

I don't know if there's an oficial answer, but Preventing Evil gives them back the threat, so it seems like it wasn't played.

Presumably the addition of TOI treachery balances the addition of TOI feats. We haven't played any vanilla dungeons with feats yet, so I don't know how well that works out in play. It's possible that the levels that seemed so incredibly easy were due to feat use, but it's also possible that other things like luck of the draw for OL cards, hero choice, and strategies used played as big a roll (or more).

1. What James said.

2. FAQ pg 17-18
Q: Feat Card
"Preventing Evil": If the OL has played a Spawn/Power/Event/Trap card and the card was successfully cancelled via said Feat card, is the OL allowed to play another Spawn/Power/Event/Trap card in the same turn or off of the same trigger?
A: Yes and Yes.

3. No, there isn't. Before Feats many of the WoD and AoD expansion quests were considered almost too hard for the heroes. Hence the heroes getting something of a boost with Feats in ToI. It still largely depends on what heroes and skills are drawn, and also the individual quests are still quite variable in difficulty I think.
