Octgn same start

As someone new to this program, could one of you veterans give an example of a sample start and turn? What I mean is a step by step walk thru of the mechanics of starting a game using the program and the various clicks and buttons to use (for example, right click house deck and shuffle, right click house deck and deal 7 cards, etc.)

Well, as you said it's very simple. Just right click on every zone and see what are the options for that zone. For instance, right click on the playing area if you want to flip a coin, right click on a card if you want to change its controller, right click on your hand if you want to take a mulligan, etc.

Useful shortcuts:

- F5 to stand all your cards at once.

- Press SHIFT, drag and a card to the table and release SHIFT to put it face down (for Shadows). Right click on it to choose the "turn card up" option.

- Press SHIFT, click on a card and release SHIFT to target a card (to tell your opponent which card effect you're referring to, to claim victims and other uses).

- Press SHIFT, click on a card, drag it to another card and release SHIFT to create an arrow going from the 1st card and pointing to the second one (for targeting and other uses).

1. So with the plot deck, do most players pick a plot card, put it on the table turned face down, flip it up at the same time, and when it is done, discard it face up on playing area?

2. How does the title thing work? Each game, do you have to create the titles you can to use and keep them on the board?

3. How does the mechanics for doing a turn work? I see the green arrow that moves the turn around but not sure how that is implemented in the game structure.

4. Do most players put power tokens on their house card or just let it accumulate with the program unless it is on a character?

5. Is there any way to designate 1st player?

1. Yeah. Both players place the plot card face down on the table, turn it up "at the same time" and then leave it there. Other plot cards go above the previous ones.

2. For a multiplayer game you the titles by right clicking the table and selecting the appropriate option. Then you see the title cards, drag one to your zone and leave it there until you have to a new title.

3. Nobody uses that. You just use the chat to run the timming sequence.

4. Most players use the counter to represent power on their house card and use tokens to represent power on cards (Renown, Infamy, etc).

5. Again, just use the chat.
