Hi, I would like some feedback on
my scum campaign
sketchy campaign plan.
My campaign idea revolves around a drug that permanently reduces people’s mental defenses to psychic powers, dark influences or even such things as simple suggestions. (Yea. And if my players taste it, well, they got themselves to blame).
The thematic promises I made to my players: The it is to be a scum campaign, A Hereticus campaign. And that there would be a few a few aliens.
It all starts on a space station.
The players will first encounter the drug during an attempt to smuggle the drug onto a space station with mutants as mules. Yep. Chaos for chaos sake grants style points. The mafia pushing the drug, counts on the mutants being killed and their bodies burned (since you don't want bodies floating around a station, or put unclean mutants into recycling). And they bought the crematory a few months before; always a handy way to dispose bodies.
The inquisitor is at the space station to investigate a trail of psykers disappearing. This is related since the drug is made partially from psyker spinal fluid. Since the heretic behind it, Mychella Sinderfell, need rouge psykers to utilize the drug most effectively. The players just stumble on the drug.
The beginning of the adventure will be to infiltrate the criminal organization and find the mob boss Babious running this distribution path of the drug they found.. At the hobnobbing on Malfi the characters will have a glass of wine with Mychella Sinderfell, who is considering recruiting them. They will get hold of Babious, interrogate him and the investigation will point to a psyker, Antonious (Second in comand to Mychella).
Here I would somehow want to sneak in a conclave meeting of some kind. Might not be related, just awesome. They will meet a Thorian Inquisitor that absolutely seems to hate the characters Inquisitor.
After the conclave the character will split up from their Inquisitor. The inquisitor will follow the trail of missing psykers personally, and send one interrogator and the players to research the drug.
The other key ingredient is the larva of a primitive psy-empatic xenosnail seen as a delicacy in the subsector. The adult snail’s meat got the slight ability to heighten the senses when you eat it. A psyker might pick up simple waves of emotion from the live adult snails. (I stole this idea from somewhere, thanks to someone out there.) It only hatches on its home planet, and there’s been reports on multiple occasions of xeno activity there. The truth is that Dark Eldar likes to harvest larva as well since you can make drugs that -really- heighten the senses and awaken new ones in the most terrible and fantastic ways.
The dark eldar and the heretics have come into a conflict over who got the right to the larva, creating a bottleneck for the production so far but is nearing a diplomatic solution. (The idea for the adventure here is that the players are sent to recon and then tries to sabotage the negotiations). Antonious will be present here. Mychella Sinderfells name will be learned, players will realise that they already had tea with her...
---> Clues will be pointed to some psyker’s nest on Scintilla. They will get in, see too many psykers to deal with, confront Antoninus, win and get a moment of post fight awesomeness when they get a message on the tricorn and cavalry arrives to deal with scores of rogue psykers. Loads of more will be learned. Once the dust settles they get in contact with the inquisitor by astropath. He got a lead where Tamara might be, Taurus. The characters are six weeks closer to the destination then their Inqvisitor and the trail might already be getting cold. The Inqvisitor tells them to demand back a favor “About Fenksworld” from the Thorian Inquisitor they met at the conclave and travel to Taurus. It depends on the players if the Thorian Inquisitors choose to follow.
And then an endgame on Taurus with millions and millions of people affected by the drug, and a search for Mychella. They will have the order to find her and lay low if possible until the inquisitor arrives. Of course that will not be an option. She will notice them, and there will be a capture and confrontation.

I would love any feedback, and help breaking it down to a induivdual mission and situations with a criminal feel. Smuggling, mission impossible style missions,,, it would be nice with some varity.
