No, please don't encourgae FFG to go down the exclusivity route. Go down the sneak-preview route instead. Exclusivity disenfranchises those of us who can't attend. A sneak preview doesn't, as we will get the goodies eventually.

Also, anyone else think they should have held in the week after, so that it ended on Hallowe'en?

That's why I still want them to put the images up on the site, so you can print them off the way you can now with the DH and DP Herald. And if it will end up being a sneak-preview instead of an exclusive, then maybe Richard Launius better sign them all, so you still have something special for attending beyond what the people buying the next expansion will get.

There's still a couple things holding me back from going, so it's still not a definite yet. There's the fact that my friends are lame so getting even one other person to go is a chore. And with my wife being a teacher, she may not be able to get the days off for it. And then there's the cost of going. I'm about 10 hours away, so driving is going to add a ton of miles in my car, although a road trip would be a blast. But getting a flight would be more than double the transportation costs. I may have to rally up a group on the BGG to go.

Just thought of something, I wonder if the new AO will come with Plot Cards? I really hope they thought that far ahead with it.

I think you get something special for going... it sounds like the event would be really cool in its own right and I'd love to go even with no stuff being given away.

I really hate exclusive content. I've been collecting Arkham loyally with each expansion (like all of us I suppose :P), why should I now be penalised because I live in the UK? While one extra AO won't be enough to put me off the game, not being able to complete the collection would really offend me. (Germany and Ghost Stories has done this to me with the Guardpost 11th village tile and it reduces my enjoyment of the game :()

I hope FFG remembers us and lets us buy this extra stuff later (through boardgamegeek, there own site, wherever...).

On a more chearful note, this sounds like a great event - it's only a pity it isn't being cohosted by Chaoism so you could indulge in all the Mythos games at once. Still, I love arkham and I'm glad they're still supporting it after so many years.

All the specualtion aside, I think it's cool to hear how many folks in this thread are trying to go. Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you there.

And even if FFG doesn't get around to posting the new AO and herald right away, I'm sure there will be at least oen person who will upload pics for otehrs to obtain. But I would be surprised it they either didn't post them, or allow people to purchase the gift bag after the fact, like their did with their Realms of Terrinoth(?) event.

And I just assumed that they were hinting at another AH expansion set. Though an all-new stand alone AH game based around a specific setting (At The Mountains of Madness, perhaps) might not be out of line. Or AH with a traitor mechanic would be cool as well.
