Runemaster Thorn's ability

By Celtic Joker, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Runemaster Thorn's ability as printed on the hero sheet says "... spend 5 movement points to move to any empty space in his line of sight."

Now, does he actually move through the intervening spaces or does he "teleport" to the chosen space. In many cases this distinction will not make a difference, but what if there is a monster with the aura ability adjacent to his chosen "path". If he actually moves through the intervening spaces, he should be damaged by the aura, but if he teleports, he would not. The same goes for dart fields.

What if there are spiderwebs or portcullis is in his "path"? They appear in some scenarios.

He does not move through the intervening spaces. He moves 'to' that space directly, by paying 5 MP. Yes, it's a teleport. No, since he is never in the intervening spaces, nor does he enter the intervening spaces, he does not suffer any effects from those spaces.

He also can't have, for example, pit traps played on him on the intervening spaces, but he can on the one he lands on.
