Funny PC ideas

By Shanobi, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

I just wanted to start a topic for GM's about some of the silly stories and actions that your PC's make.

I had a great one the other day. I was playing with 2 PC's (A scythe weilding Dark Palidin and a Ninja Module assasian) and they were in the first section of the Shadows of Dreams arc in the game master guide. They were on the bridge section with the ambush of gaurds on one end and decided (because the bridge could only fit one at a time but they wanted to see if they could both fight close combat) that the D.P. would go to the middle and use a chain and tie himself to the bridge (so he could two hand welid) and then the ninja would climb on his shoulders and tie himself in with his own rope and they both did a sort of "chicken fight" like thing with a scythe and tanto/shuriken

Needless to say, it made me lol

Call me stubborn but i still think this topic is a good idea D:

everyone seems to be way too serious on this forum, can't we have some lol's brothers (and perhaps sisters)?

either way i have another one, with my new group we just finished the shadows within dreams campaign and the psychic of the group was able to one hit kill raptor with a simple create fire on his clothes... 3 open rolls, maintained inhumanity made him erupt into the flames of a house fire in the first turn, causing a 100 damage critical (he fumbled a dodge with 1) with a location of head. as soon as he fell to the ground dead the palidin of the group walked up to he charred body and tossed him the Flouros saying, "here you go" literaly seconds after his big speech of how he was going to crush them. We all got a good laugh, and selene was quite dumbfounded...

I havn't seen this thread, but I think, this is a really cool idea.

Here a story from my group:

The group were traveling on horses, as an supernatural snake appear and wraped itself round the paladin _and_ his horse and starts constricting him. The wizard of the group (who has only spells from the creation path), rode to the paladin and started to pouring oil over the paladin. The paladin said thanks to the wizard, because he thought, the wizard had poured the oil to help him get free. But in the turn after this, the wizard rode away and started accumulation Zeon, to cast "Create Energy" from the Creation-Path, to ignite the snake with the paladin. The moment, the paladin-players realised this was funny (his face had a really distrubed look XD).

Okay, I think, this is funnier, if you were there XD

So long,

This is more along the ‘awsome’ axis then funny axis, but it’s a story never the less. In my first campaign I had a psychic, a Taoist, and a shadow with around 40 elan in Eriol, the angle of chaos. As a bit of a backstory the shadow had a bit of a confrontation with a gambler called seto, so they played a game of cards, and the shadow wound up betting the entire 50 tons of forged steel the psychic had made when he hit zen on his atomic restructuring roll. The shadow rolls a 5, a fumble thanks to Eriol, and then proceeds to roll 98 for his fumble roll, goes all in, and loses the entire shipment of steel in one hand.

Cut to two sessions later where they enter in a gambling tournament with seto to try and win the steel back, basically the shadow gets up and faces seto in the finals, he tells the psychic not to interfere since he has wants to win this with his own luck. Of course the psychic mind hacks seto the instant he sees the shadow start losing, needless to say, seto had precautions in place and calls the shadow out on cheating after the game is over (shadow won), and orders someone to find the church so they can persecute the psychic and by extension the entire party. The shadow, who is at bladepoint by now from the guards, pulls out a coin, and asks seto for one last gamble.

Heads, and the party walks with its steel, tails, seto gets to kill the party right there and then, and the shadow would withdraw from the tournament, giving seto first place. My player, not his character, my player, actually flips the coin. He gets higher on the initiative between him and the psychic (who wanted to nuke the city and run) and thus his plan goes into action first.

It comes up heads.

After session, shadow: “so….how much elan does that stunt net me?”

Actually I really like the idea of recording some of the funny happenings of the game.

First off F3nr1s I can imagine that look. It is freaking hilarious. I got a similar look the first time I explained the aftermath of a critical of 100. My players were fighting the two wolves in the Erebus Cathedral and during one of the wolves turn he inflicted a critical against my psychic resulting in the loss of one of her kidneys. She was used to playing D and D and was not ready for that amount of realness in the fight. So when I told the party that she lost her kidney the look on her and the warlock's face........priceless. Best part was that in the night attack that occurred later the psychic inflicted a critical against one of the darklings and as chance would have it she ruptured one of his kidneys. Oh the irony! As she did it she was yelling at the guy "Hah! now you know my pain" The group had a good laugh at it.

Second during the night attack our warlock decided to be greedy and barred one of the darklings into his room. The ranger was trying to help but he wouldn't let her in the room. After some diplomacy she decides to kick him out of the way. Sadly though she fumbled her attack and ended up launching herself against the wall since she lost her balance by accidentally pushing herself back instead of moving him with the kick. Well the next day they were out and about in the town and I remembered that the warlock had gone 5 days without satisfying his vice,(since he took the disadvantage). Well he chose for his vice that he has to draw adult magazines. So he ask if anybody in the party was wearing a skirt. The ranger said she was. He then asked how short it was. She said very short. So he decides to kick her over and draw. Afterwards he closes his book and says "Payback!"

I think that is all the really good ones. There were minor ones like the ranger throwing her plate at the marques during the dinner, Catherine immobilizing the shadow character with bonds of light after he tried to take a swing at her, The ranger spilling pie all over a noble on the zepplin, the warlock being on the can for 4 and half hours, the shadow being chased by 20 guards all over chaville before boarding the zepplin, etc.

I don't know if this is LOL...but there it goes:

I've started a campaign set in a world where characters from other worlds end-up due to some circumstance...hence the three players were allowed to roll characters from any setting...and including an NPC I'm using (because they needed a Tank), here is the final party:

Dugin Dagnasson: A Dvergr from Anima Setting (Gaia) with Demiurge Blood, with twin bucklers and two-handed axe of incredible quality. He's a Grey Champion...a sort of Weaponmaster with Elan bonus toward one of "The Grey Ones", seven deities I added in my games with very Neutral alignment.

James Chesterfield: A Sherlock Holmes-styled English Victorian gentleman with huge secondary abilities, built using the "Inspector" variant of the Assassin I made.

Dregan Ryze: A young Risen Necromancer (Wizard) coming from another setting created by a friend of mine and me, where there is an entire "Necromancy Nation" where its use is accepted and which is currently having a quiet politic of non-aggression with neighbours, thanks to its illuminated Necromancer-King.

Kyoko Koizumi: Japanese Schoolgirl with APPEARANCE10...turning into BUNNY-CHAN, an exhalted Maho styled heroine (dressed like a bunny girl) using magic songs to lay death on the enemies of justice and love, thanks to her magical Skuni-Roddo (A bunny shaped rod)! She's built as a Bard variant of the Illusionist.

Can you imagine these four guys going around in a world filled with characters and creatures coming from any setting you may think of? Believe it or not...the thing is quite fun!

Probably the funniest thing the PCs in my game have done is, using creation magic, between a combination of Agility 15 + increase attribute +3 + increase movement speed, make a movement speed 20 zen horse like thing large enough to carry them all. I ruled that if they wanted to be able to actually stay on the horse, they also needed to be zen, so he just used acquire powers to give everyone zen for one action (long enough to move unlimited distance to get to where they are going).

Now the entire party basically zips to and from the furthest corners of the world near instantaneously.

Well in my partys case, due to the fact enjoy putting my parties in interesting situations it happens pretty often. Although many a times they end up causing it themselves.

First event that comes to mind.

After completing "Shadows within Dreams" a small group of inquisitors arrived on the island of corvinus due to all the events that had been happening, and began investigating the parties actions and Catherines supernatural abilities. So the party decided why not nip the inquisition in the butt before they were the ones getting caught. So they planned this little facade to trap the leader of the inquisition group on the island by leading him up to their room in the Inn, then one of them would attack him from behind. Little did they know that one inquisitor "later to be known as High Inquisitor Crow" was a Wizard mentalist and was maintaining powers that gave him detection all around him, and maintaining a Shield which he easily blocked the attack, then spun around and using consume destroyed the players kidneys in a critical attack. Luckly although powerful Crow was easily tricked by the rest of the party not to kill them all.

Next event

Before the release of "Those who Walked Amongst us" I had created my own Vampire race (Which i like far better than the actual one) She was a very beautiful girl that sadly one of the players who took the unfortunate disadantage and due to his personality easily got himself involved with the girl. So come night time when the girl needed to feed (keep in mind, they are unaware of her being a vampire) she knocked on his inn room door. He being only in his boxers answered the door and let her in unsuspecting of her intentions, but after letting her in, he had her hold on so he could put some pants on, sadly as he was pulling up his pants she jumped him and overtook him. (these events took place seperate of the party as i seperated them so that they did not know exactly what was going on.) But my description to the player who was in the room next to his was that he heard the vampire girl going into his friends room and then he heard a series of loud thumping noises next door, he choose to ignore them. the next morning that same player went to check on his party member and found him unconcious on the floor with his pants half way up. (the guy who got fed on did not remember what happened due to a power I gave the vampire)

Next event and probably my favorite

After rescuing a minor tribe from the Skuling Tribe in Goldar I had planned on putting a player in an emotional perdicament. Originally I had planned to make the daughter of the tribe leader invite the player that showed the most strength to the bathing waters to clean himself after a long battle then have her had him a wedding proposal dagger (which was a custom of their tribe). Well ended up he took himself to his own disaster. Right after the battle and returning to the small village he decided he wanted to get cleaned due to how bloody the battle had been. So he went to the bathing waters as he was bathing the tribe leaders daughter showed up to watch him bath (which was also part of the custom), him being who he was decided to show off his muscular body to the young girl as he bathed, flexing muscle, you know the stuff ~_~, so he didnt think much of her watching. After completing washing himself he exited the pool and she handed him his cloths, he got dressed without a thought to it still. Then she knelt down and held out the dagger to him asking him, "Please Accept my proposal" He took the dagger thinking it was a gift for saving their tribe, He later finds out during a massive feast he got engaged to a 15 year old girl. And due to him being very honor bound he could not break it off saying it was a mistake. So he was stuck with it. ^_^

Of course their are many events I just can't think of them.
