yeah the 12.7 added for AA fire is a weird one it might be a removeable mount?. i was reading a book on Warsaw 1944 and the pics of the is-2's don't actually show it mounted but they should have it.

I think the MG was more necessary as a defensive weapon against infantry close assault.
IMO armour's overrun capability is based more on the psychological impact of the "bull rush" plus the big gun. Keep in mind the nature of the game's movement/action sequencing attempt to model time flow (everything happening at once). An armour unit suddenly picks out an infantry squad position and tries to grind them into the mud while blasting the ground they occupy...the squad must scramble to get out of the way thus disrupting their ability to orient/decide/act.
Should infantry be allowed to assault an armor unit's hex? I say yes, but that's for another discussion, however, that's where the tank's MG becomes decisive.
