Am I missing pieces?

By oshfarms, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

All at once I purchased the base game and every expansion but the WoD and RtL. I eagerly punched out all the card board pieces. Then, later, when playing SoB for the first time, the first random dungeon draw was #46, the Forgotten Cove. I didn't have enough of the square (4x4), right turn pieces. The map requires three, and I only have two. Anyone else have this problem, or am I missing pieces?

Thanks.

There are a couple of maps in SoB that need more pieces than there are. The other is an island level that uses both the whirlpool and the dungeon entrance.

Yeah, we ran into that problem as well. In fact I think I remember it being in a FAQ. But I don't remember seeing anything about not having enough dungeon pieces.

Descent is a great game, unfortunately it does suffer from a few errors in printing. SoB in particular is not off to a great start as far as it's dungeons go. With regards to the particular dungeon you reference, I've heard others say they found a way to build it using larger corner pieces in a couple places.

It happened to us, and somehow our OL was able to build the dungeon using other pieces. In the end, he needed only one of the 4x4 pieces. Unfortunately, I don't know how he did it (couldn't look at the map, as I was a hero). I only know that he started complaining about it and then worked it out with other pieces until it fit.

There is another thread about this problem here .
