I'm not sure how others feel, but I'm excited to play AGOT at Gencon. The Melee, Joust, and team tournaments seem like they will be a blast. However, I do wish there were a few more Joust tournaments other than the main event, since I'd like to test other decks in a competitive environment other than my main tourney deck. I'm aware of more than a few people with smaller metas that don't really get a chance to play in tournaments outside of regional and national events.

That brings up an interesting point. Anyone interested in running sit and go style tournaments with me? By that I mean, get at least 6 or 8 players, and play a LCG joust tournament, single elimination just like the main event, but a little more casual and friendly? (and non-official). After the con hours, before etc? Am I the only one clamoring for a few more Joust events? Maybe we can even get some of the FFG folks in on the action.

Well I know there will be an ongoing league tournament for the whole weekend of gencon. So you can play games against other players who are part of the "league" and then at the end of the weekend on sunday at some point they will be handing out prizes for that. I'm assuming you can use different decks for each league game you play, so you'll have lots of opportunities to test decks. Also, I will play as many pick up games as I can get! So I'll jump in on any sit and go tourneys.
