More newbie questions after a game....

Thanks guys for the help....

- If a hero is stun, can they use fatigue to move..... then make an attack?

- Chest opening... when a hero gets what ever color treasure. Can they look at the card before discarding for the color treasure amount?

- Overlord played 2 spikes traps in 2 different round in front a door.... how can they open the door? Is it just the movement to climb out... while still on that space where the pit token is at can they use the movement to open the door? What if they don't have enough to open the door. What if the heroes died when falling down the pits.... how can they open the door?

- How does a big base monster leap over a pit? Can there large base be over a pit space?

- Can a monster with flying end it's move on obstacles or pits?

1) Stunned heroes can still spend fatigue as normal, in addition to whichever "half-action" they choose to perform (movement, attack, or order). However, they still need to declare their action before they start spending fatigue, just like normal.

2) That rule was changed in errata; the heroes can't do that anymore. Now, if the heroes don't like a treasure, they need to take it back to town and sell it for half value. (See the FAQ/errata on the Descent Support Page ).

3) The effects of pits are: you suffer 1 wound (ignoring armor) when entering a pit; you pay an extra movement when leaving; and your line-of-sight is limited to adjacent spaces. Being in a pit doesn't prevent you from taking movement actions such as opening doors. If the heroes die from pit traps near a door, they may need to voluntarily step into the pit and suffer damage in order to open the door later on.

Also, note that doors leading directly off from a room can be opened from the diagonally adjacent spaces, so 2 pits may not be enough to completely block off a door.

4) Large monsters aren't affected by pits unless every space they occupy is a pit space, so they can usually ignore them. If you want to jump over a large pit, you only need to jump over the steps where you would fall in (i.e. when you would occupy all pit spaces); for example, a 2x2 monster can step 1 space over the pit before jumping, and can land with its rear half still overlapping the pit, without taking any damage.

From the Pit rules on page 16: "if a hero or monster moves so that the figure is only occupying pit spaces, the figure falls into the pit."

5) The Fly ability allows you to ignore damage from obstacles, such as pits, but doesn't allow you to end your movement in the same space as an obstacle that blocks movement, such as water or rubble.

From the Fly rules on page 22: "flying figures cannot end their movement in a space containing another figure or an obstacle that blocks movement. A flying figure may end its turn in a space containing an obstacle that inflicts damage without effect."
